Medium 199 w/ Earle’s Salts w/ L-Glutamine w/o Sodium Bicarbonate w/ 25 mM Hepes – P0425
Medium 199 was designed for the culture of non-transformed cells. It is widely used in virology, for vaccine production and for in vitro culture of primary explants of mouse pancreatic epithelial tissue.
Medium 199 is formulated with Earles salts. Its formulation is without sodium bicarbonate and contains L-Glutamine and Hepes (25mM).
BioWest recommends the addition of 10% fetal bovine serum to the medium.

Glucose concentration : 1g/L
To supplement with sodium bicarbonate,
Addition of sodium bicarbonate 7.5% solution (ref: L0680) : 29.3 ml/l
Addition of sodium bicarbonate powder (ref: P2060) : 2.2 g/l
