L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine, Stable Glutamine – P1031
L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine, Stable Glutamine – P1031
L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine (Ala-Gln) is a dipeptide that is used as a substitute for L-Glutamine in mammalian cell culture media.
L-Glutamine is unstable in solution and forms ammonia which can have deleterious effects on cells in culture. L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine is stable to heat sterilization and is less ammoniagenic than L-Glutamine, which contributes to its advantages as a media component.
