MEM Alpha w/o L-Glutamine w/o Ribonucleosides w/o Deoxyribonucleosides – L0476

Alpha-MEM medium (aMEM) is a modification of Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) that contains non-essential amino acids, sodium pyruvate, thioctic acid, vitamin B12, biotin, and ascorbic acid.

Alpha-MEM medium can be used with a variety of suspension and adherent mammalian cells, including keratinocytes, primary rat astrocytes, and human melanoma cells. This medium is often used for the mesenchymal stem cells culture.

Biowest’s aMEM is without L-Glutamine, ribonucleosides and desoxyribonucleosides.

Cell culture

Formulation is without L-Glutamine, ribonucleosides and desoxyribonucleosides. Contains phenol red
Glucose concentration : 1 g/L

To supplement with L-Glutamine,
Addition of L-Glutamine 100X, 200mM solution (ref: X0550) : 10 ml/l
Addition of L-Glutamine powder (ref: P1031) : 0.292 g/l

Supplements should be added to the medium as sterile supplements.
