DMEM – F12 w/o L-Glutamine w/ 25 mM Hepes – L0096

Developed initially to study hormonal requirements of cells in culture, DMEM-Ham’s F12 is used as basal medium for growing many different mammalian cells (MDCK, fibroblasts, endothelial cells). DMEM – Ham’s F12 is a mixture (1:1) of DMEM and Ham’s F12 medium.

Its formulation is L-Glutamine-free and contains Hepes (25mM).

Cell culture

Formulation is without L-Glutamine, with Hepes (25mM), sodium pyruvate and phenol red
Glucose concentration : 3.151g/L

To supplement with L-Glutamine,
Addition of L-Glutamine 100X, 200mM solution (ref: X0550) : 12.5 ml/l
Addition of L-Glutamine powder (ref: P1031) : 0.365 g/l

Supplements should be added to the medium as sterile supplements.
