Basal Medium Eagle – BME w/ Earle’s Salts w/o L-Glutamine – L0042
Eagle’s medium (BME), developed by Harry Eagle, is commonly used for the culture of mammalian eukaryotic cells. Supplemented with Fetal Bovine Serum, BME medium allows the proliferation of cell lines (Hela, L-Cells) and primary cells (fibroblasts).
This reference, formulated with Earles salts, does not contain L-Glutamine.

Cell culture
Formulation without L-Glutamine with phenol red
Glucose concentration : 1 g/L
To supplement with L-Glutamine,
Addition of L-Glutamine 100X, 200mM solution (ref: X0550) : 10 ml/l
Addition of L-Glutamine powder (ref: P1031) : 0.292 g/l
Supplements should be added to the medium as sterile supplements.
