CMRL 1066 is a medium formulated for the cultivation of mouse L-strain cells without protein supplement.
Although originally designed for use in serum free conditions, this medium can be used for the growth of a variety of cell lines in the presence of serum.

These medium are known for sustaining the cloning of monkey kidney cells.
