Versene – L0630
Versene – L0630
Versene, a solution containing EDTA, is used as a non-enzymatic reagent for cell dissociation. In vitro, cells adhere to their substrates through extracellular matrix proteins that rely on calcium and magnesium ions to maintain strong binding. By chelating these ions, Versene disrupts these interactions, allowing for gentle cell detachment without compromising the cell membrane.
Versene may be used alone or combined with an enzyme like trypsin to optimize cell detachment while preserving both cell viability and biological characteristics.
